Web Ahrensburg - The virtual home of the Ahrens family. Not to be confused with Ahrensburg, Germany, which is perhaps the source of the Ahrens surname. We aim to please, you aim too, please.
In early May, after Curi's "retirement", we spent a long weekend in Panama City Beach, FL with our second cousins and their children. Five children ages 2 and under! Bailey and Peter (He turned 2 in Dec)
Edward and Sarah (She turned 1 in May)

Edward's Grandma and Grandpa Ahrens and Mimi and Pop went in together to get him an indoor swing and slide for his birthday. The kids are having a blast!
Both the wedding and reception were held at the Salish Lodge and Spa, Snoqualmie, WA, just outside of Seattle. The lodge overlooks the falls and you can see it in the background. What a perfect spot for a wedding!

Are we seeing double? No - it is Ken with long time friends, Michael and David, celebrating Dave's big day!
Our friends, David and Cathy, got married out in Seattle, WA. We were able to make a long weekend of the trip and took in some sights while we were there.

Ken, or is it Usher? HA! This is one of the many things to see in the EMP - Experience the Music Project in downtown. It is also adjacent to the Science Fiction Museum so we were able to see a lot.
In honor of Edward's 1st Birthday, we had a family party for him in Albany so that the extended family could celebrate with us. Edward loved it! Edward practicing with his cake!
Bailey is still donning her jewels from the previous day's party and excitement. She loves the matching tiara and earring set, especially with her pj's. :)
As everyone was leaving, we were able to grab a shot of Mom and Dad with the Birthday Girl. Unfortuantely Edward napped through most of the party, although...
...he did wake up in time to guard Bailey's presents with his balloon sword!
Bailey received a new Cinderella table and two chairs from Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Craig in honor of her birthday. She was able to break it in before her big party!
